Super Bowl Party at Schroth

The Schroth School students battled the Monmouth University football team AND the Point Pleasant Borough High School Football team the Friday before the Super Bowl. Billed as the Battle of the Blue, the Schroth Sharks took on the Monmouth Hawks in a tough battle for football domination. Cheered on by the cheerleaders from Point Pleasant Borough High School, each classroom had a chance to take down the mighty Hawks.

After a stirring rendition of the National Anthem, performed by Daniel, and a show of team support by the Preschool (who paraded around in their Shark hats), the game began. Each class took the field one play at a time, facing off against the Hawks. The ball was passed from player to player as they were pushed in their wheelchairs down the field to the goal. Football players were hurled to the ground (or hurled themselves, for effect) by the onslaught, and every single Schroth team scored a goal.

Thank you, Monmouth U. and PPBHS football teams and cheerleaders, for giving us such an exciting afternoon of sports entertainment!
