LADACIN Network held its annual Casino Night and Gift Auction on Friday, October 6th at the Eagle Oaks Golf and Country Club in Farmingdale. Over 270 guests attended this evening of excitement, helping to raise over $45,000 to support LADACIN’s many programs.
Guests were given a $60 chip voucher towards their gambling fun and were able to choose from poker, black jack, craps and roulette wheels. Winners were awarded chips that could be cashed in for tickets to the Gift Auction. With 167 prizes to choose from, there were lots of opportunities to win! The Gift Auction included great items, such as sports tickets, electronics, home goods, designer hand bags, jewelry, art work, games, children’s items, a gas grill, and gift cards.
A Spin the Wheel allowed guests to win gift cards by landing on the proper color. There was also a Wine Grab and a raffle to win special prizes. The Family Support staff at LADACIN put together a display of Hidden Treasures, complete with a treasure chest and a skeleton, guarding the many pieces of jewelry hidden within. A beverage center, a large screen TV and an Amazon Echo were also up for grabs. A complimentary wine tasting was set up by Diageo, who offered a basket of their liquor for the special auction.
A buffet dinner was provided in a large room festively decorated in black and red, and Rockin’ Robyn from 95.9 WRAT radio served as the emcee for the evening, calling the winning numbers for the auction prizes. A 50/50 raffle won a lucky guest over $2,000.
The evening was a great success, and many thanks go to Co-Chairs Marlene Bell and Bonnie Hogan for coordinating this massive undertaking, and to the many volunteers and staff members who worked tirelessly to bring together another great Casino Night!
