Therapy
LADACIN Network uses a transdisciplinary team approach to the evaluation and implementation of services. The team approach encompasses the medical, educational, therapeutic, and social aspects of the individual’s development. Therapy services include speech, occupational therapy, and physical therapy evaluation and treatment.
Assistive Technology
Rehabilitation technology services promote independence and improve the quality of life of people with disabilities through the use of assistive technology. Assistive technology devices may include augmentative communication devices, adapted toys, adaptive computer equipment, wheeled mobility, seating and positioning aids and electronic aids for daily living.
LADACIN Network has also developed an extensive library of electronic and non-electronic communication equipment to provide assessments for clients who are non-speaking.
A transdisciplinary evaluation is conducted to match the individual with appropriate assistive technology equipment. The evaluating team may comprise physical, speech and occupational therapists; nurses, social workers, physicians, teachers; rehabilitation technology specialist; and augmentative communication specialist.
Training is provided for the continuing use of assistive and augmentative equipment.

- Ongoing evaluation and training
- Parent/staff/client training in the use of communication systems
- Parent/staff/client training in the use of prosthetic and orthotic devices
- Transdisciplinary adaptive equipment evaluations
Clinic Services
Physiatry, neurology, nutrition, podiatry and dental, wheelchair and orthotic clinics are conducted regularly throughout the year. These clinics are coordinated by the Agency, in conjunction with area doctors and hospitals, rehab specialists, orthotists, and prosthetists to provide access to on-going medical assessment and follow up.
Referral to any clinic may be made by the family, the school district, members of the transdisciplinary team and other physicians and social service organizations.
