Family Support and Respite

Family Support

Family support services provide caretaking support for the person with developmental and/or multiple physical disabilities. Support services offer individuals and their families the ability to develop independence and self-sufficiency.

Cash Option Respite

This option provides stipends to families to enable them to choose and train their own respite provider. This allows families to define their own services and to develop flexible support networks within their community.

Time After Program (TAP)

The TAP program offers children and adults therapeutic recreational activities with trained personal assistants and nursing support. Services are offered weekdays from 3:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. at the Schroth and Lehmann Centers.

Saturday Respite

Saturday Respite allows children and adolescents to participate in therapeutic recreational activities under the supervision of a recreation leader and trained personal assistants. Services are offered year round from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. at the Schroth and Lehmann Centers.

Services Available for Family Support:
