LADACIN Network Timeline
- 1949 United Cerebral Palsy of Monmouth & Ocean Counties, Inc. founded by a group of parents seeking therapy for their children with cerebral palsy
- 1952 United Cerebral Palsy of Monmouth & Ocean Counties, Inc. incorporated
- 1956 School program opened
- 1977 Preschool program organized
- 1983 Give and Take Child Care Center opened
- 1983 Personal assistant services instituted
- 1983 Operation LIFE (Living Independently for Everyone), a barrier-free apartment complex, opened
- 1986 Respite services initiated
- 1987 Three year accreditation obtained from CARF...The Rehabilitation Accreditation Commission
- 1988 Lehmann Center in Lakewood opened
- 1988 Green Grove Group Home opened
- 1988 Technical Education Center established
- 1989 Mill Creek and Dewey Street Group Homes opened
- 1990 Asbury Avenue Apartments, a supported apartment complex, opened
- 1990 CARF accreditation renewed for 3 years
- 1993 CARF accreditation renewed for 3 years
- 1993 Changed name to Cerebral Palsy of Monmouth and Ocean, Inc.
- 1994 George Gray Apartments, a supported apartment complex, opened
- 1994 Schroth Center in Wanamassa opened
- 1996 CARF accreditation renewed for 3 years
- 1996 Accreditation received from Commission on Accreditation for Home Care
- 1997 Medical day care program instituted
- 1999 CARF accreditation renewed for 3 years
- 1999 Singer Group Home opened
- 1999 Outpatient therapy services initiated for adults with developmental disabilities aged 22 and over
- 1999 Early intervention services initiated for children aged 0-3 with developmental delays
- 1999 Inclusive community recreation program initiated
- 1999 Cash option respite program initiated
- 2000 Targeted evaluations for eligibility for early intervention services, Monmouth County, initiated
- 2002 Purchase of property in Monmouth County for expansion
- 2002 CARF accreditation renewed for 3 years
- 2003 Give and Take Child Care, Lehmann Center, received five-year accreditation by the National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC)
- 2003 Cerebral Palsy of Monmouth & Ocean Counties, Inc. announces name change to LADACIN Network
- 2005 CARF accreditation renewed for 3 years
- 2006 Development of Monmouth County property initiated
- 2007 Lehmann Annex, Lakewood, opened
- 2008 CARF accreditation renewed for 3 years
The Agency is now a multi-faceted organization also providing therapeutic recreation programs; lift-equipped transportation; vocational education and supported employment; occupational, speech and physical therapies; assistive technology; diagnostic clinics; outpatient services including therapy and assistive technology assessments.
