The 5th Ryan Bell Memorial Walk and Wheel-A-Thon was held on September 18, 2011 at Brookdale Community College in Lincroft. Refreshments, give-aways and family-friendly activities and entertainment were enjoyed by all. The event was created in 2007 by Ryan's parents, Marlene and Stephen Bell and brother, Matt to bring together friends and family to celebrate the memory of Ryan, who passed away in 2006 at the age of nine. The proceeds from the walk and wheel-a-thons, which totalled approximately $102,000, contributed to the installation of the Ryan Bell Playground...Ry Ry's Playground of Smiles at the Schroth Center. We thank the Bell family and all the sponsors, volunteers and participants for their generous support.
